Lee Brandt founded the Kansas City Developer Conference 12 years ago because he noticed the tech scene was lacking. There were 120 attendees at that first conference and it has steadily grown to nearly 2500 attendees in 2019. Today KCDC is a non-profit organization that leads the charge for tech polyglot (multiple technologies and leadership skills) conferences. They created a collaborative community to help support local tech businesses in the Kansas City area.

In this interview we discuss potential hardships for conference organizers and tips for speakers who are wanting to still stay connected.
