Felienne Hermans is an assistant professor at Delft University of Technology, where she researches the application of software engineering methods to spreadsheets.
She founded a company called Infotron, based on the tools and techniques for spreadsheet analysis she developed while getting her PhD.
One of her biggest passions in life is to share her enthusiasm for programming with others. Therefore, she is volunteering for FIRST, an organization devoted to making tech as cool as sports. Both in the Netherlands and abroad, she referees for the Lego League, a competition for kids from 8 to 14. Felienne is also in the board of Devnology, a Dutch developer community that organizes monthly meetings on all things software, from Arduinos to open source and from SmallTalk to story telling.
