Regina Bailey has gone from an anxious little girl to empowered woman who mentors others. Growing up on a poor town with no resources. After suffering for years and going through trauma and loss within a few years of each other. Like a phoenix, rising from the ashes she was a force to be reckoned with. Inspired by Oprah, the Someone Cares Center was born out of this transformation. Mental health, depression, poor body image, and societal anxiety are threatening for our young girls today.

The Standing Strong Program is for adolescents 10-17 years old. Classes are small and include a team of health and wellness specialists. Strong body, strong mind, strong heart. Learn more about Regina’s work and how to join their 9-week course by visiting: someonecarescenter.org.

“I made this positive change in my life because of what someone said (at KalamazooX). That’s powerful.” ~Michael Eaton

Michael Eaton quickly became a member of my tribe when we met on the midwest speaker circuit. A team lead who works at QuickenLoans, the #1 IT company to work for, Michael Eaton has been running my favorite conference of all time for the last 10 years: KalamazooX Conference. In this extended interview, he shares the history of KalamazooX Conference, tips for speakers, and what he looks for when choosing speakers.

This is the final year the X Conference will be hosted in Kalamazoo, MI. So be sure to get tickets for the event by visiting kalamazoox.org. We will see you Saturday April 21st, 2018!

1999 was the magic year for Kevin A. Dunlap, while he was working as a computer programmer for Y2K. His position at his company was eradicated without notice, without severance. He vowed to become an entrepreneur from that day forward. In 2004 he moved to Vegas to continue his work as a business strategist. His advice to fellow entrepreneurs? You have to know where you are going to be in the future. Have a business plan about what’s happening within your industry’s future. He suggests expanding your business by learning how to delegate small tasks. Start small and hire a virtual assistant. Tune in to his podcast “Life’s Little Lessons” which can be found on iTunes and Stitcher.
